My buddy Joe Graziano came off the DL after what was almost a season ending shoulder dislocation to play for Georgetown Baseball this past weekend. He was in a lot of pain but played through it and had a great series against U Conn. Joe hit .400 this weekend, with a hit in every game including a 2 run homer and a double. More importantly, Georgetown took two of three games from their Big East division rival.
Since Joe was hurt, he missed 15 games. In that time, his team lost 12 of 15 games. They had a 4 game losing streak snapped with his triumphant comeback. Most kids might have given up after suffering several fluke injuries. Not Joe though. There is no one who has more heart than this guy, and we are glad to see he is back!
Too bad the Wizards could not get Gilbert or Caron back early.
This is the DC Sports Kid, Connor R., signing off until next time (I have hockey tryouts and lots of my own baseball games coming up)
