Skins draft LaRon Landry

In Saturday's draft, the Redskins, with their number six pick, decided to boost their secondary by drafting safety LaRon Landry from LSU. Landry might take Adam Archuleta's spot next year. Personally, I was hoping that Calvin Johnson would fall to the #6 spot, and the Redskins might pick him, and that he might be the Offensive Rookie of the Year, and the Skins would win more games (a.k.a. the Vince Young Process), but that didn't happen. Instead, the Detroit Lions picked him as #2.

If you were amazed at the Dolphins fans' reaction to their being told that their team selected Ted Ginn Jr., you are not alone. Why would they boo? It's not like Miami chose a person who should have been chosen in the fifth round or something. Beats me.

The Wizards are in dire need of a win in the playoffs, which they probably won't get, the Nats have lost two close games to the Mets, and I need to go to bed.

So I'm signing off, and good night!

Hey Kid, The Dolphins fan reaction to Ted Ginn was because they wanted the team to select QB Brady Quinn. Quarterback is a question mark for Miami. I think they will trade for Trent Green and went for Ginn to fill another need.

Ginn was projected to be taken late in the first, or early in the second round of the draft. So, selecting him with Miami's 9th pick seems like a reach.
